"It's a fake": Response from Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant to information about a stolen flask containing a radioactive substance

During their occupation of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the Russians did not steal nuclear or radioactive substances from the station.

This was reported by the State Specialised Enterprise "Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant".

According to the enterprise, information relating to the loss of the "flask with radioactive substance", stolen by the Russian occupiers, is not true.

The Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant reports that no nuclear or radioactive substances were stolen during the occupation of the industrial site of the station," the statement said.

The Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant emphasises that its employees retained full control over the nuclear and radioactive materials stored at the station.

The state enterprise Energoatom earlier reported the theft of a radioactive flask from the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Energoatom said that the flask was found in Bucha. It was allegedly discovered by a local resident in his house after a "visit" by the Russian occupiers.
