“Auntie Soup”: A resident of Mariupol cooked for people hiding from shelling at Azovstal for 2 months

Natalia from Mariupol was preparing food for people hiding at the Azovstal plant.
The children called the woman "Auntie Soup", according to the Mariupol City Council.
"My husband and I stayed in the bomb shelter. We fed children and adults for 2 months and 4 days. That's why I'm Auntie Soup. The children didn't remember my name, so they called me that," says Natalia.
In addition, the woman organised a drawing competition for the children.
They painted food from a time when life was peaceful, and Auntie Soup tried to make something similar from the products available.
"This is how water dough and canned food became the most delicious pizza in the world," the city council reported.
The woman evacuated from the city, and took the children's drawings with her.
"Every morning I would get my act together, get prepared and go to cook breakfast. This gave me a crazy chance to wake up," she says.
