Explosions were heard in the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv Oblast on the morning of 19 June,, and air defence forces struck a target of invaders.

Details: A muffled sound, similar to a distant explosion, was heard in the centre of Kyiv. It was heard around 07:20 am, when there was no air-raid siren.

The air alert for the city of Kyiv was received at 07:41, and for the Kyiv region at 07:43. The air alert was turned off at 08:13 in the capital and at 08:14 in the region.

People assumed that the air defence forces shot down a Russian missile.

At 08:56, Oleksii Kuleba, head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, confirmed the information about the work of the air defence forces.

Quote from Kuleba: "Explosions were heard in the Vyshhorod district this morning. The air defence system worked against enemy air targets.

No smoke was detected, no fires, no casualties. The units of the National Police and other services are working [on the scene]. The information is being confirmed."
