First ten Russians apply for Ukrainian visas

Ten Russians have applied for visas to enter Ukraine since the visa regime with Russia was introduced.

Quote from Nikolenko: "Ten visa applications came in in the second week. As of 11 July, ten Russian citizens have applied for Ukrainian visas, providing the relevant documents.

We are talking about six short-term visas - these are people who want to visit Ukraine for private purposes - and four long-term visas for family reunification."

Details: Nikolenko said all the Russians had applied through Ukrainian diplomatic institutions abroad, since the relevant centres in Russia have not opened yet.

Nikolenko noted that people had applied in 4 countries: Germany, Poland, Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

Background:

As of 1 July, a visa regime for entry into Ukraine came into force for citizens of the Russian Federation.
