Over 3,500 Ukrainian warriors received state awards posthumously – Zelenskyy

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, 23,000 Ukrainian defenders have been decorated with national awards. 3,500 warriors received the award posthumously.

Details: Ukraine has not revealed the total number of deceased military personnel, so that the aggressor state does not use this information for analysis and planning.

Background:

In mid-May, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that 50 to 100 Ukrainian soldiers per day could die in battles with the Russian troops in the most difficult areas in the East of the country.

At the beginning of June, the Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President Office of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podoliak, reported that at the moment the losses of the Ukrainian military amounted to 100 to 200 people per day.
