Kyiv government workers advised to work from home next week – sources

Employees of government offices located in Kyiv’s Government Quarter have been advised to work from home in the week of 22-26 August.

Details: According to one source, the Verkhovna Rada, in particular, will work remotely, except for staff members involved in international delegations and those making preparations for the next session.

Another source has noted that all workers with offices in the Government Quarter have been advised to spend as little time there as possible.

Background: The Government Quarter is home to the Verkhovna Rada building, the Office of the President, the Cabinet and the National Bank of Ukraine, among others.

Earlier: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia might carry out particularly violent attacks on Ukraine next week, when Ukraine celebrates its Independence Day.
