Details: The SSU stated that the perpetrators fought on the side of Russian occupying forces on the Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk fronts.

In particular, a "sniper and radio telephone operator" captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv region got a 14-year prison sentence.

A 23-year-old Russian citizen mobilised from Donetsk was fighting against the Ukrainian forces in a separate sniper platoon of the 3rd Battalion of the 115th Regiment of the so-called "DPR" of the Armed Forces of Russia.

In his unit, he was responsible for field communication and facilitated access control at the checkpoints near the settlements of Vesele, Kutuzivka and Momotove. He took part in fighting near the village of Bobrivka.

He and his squad were captured during the liberation of the village of Momotove.

Another militant from the town of Antratsit [Luhansk Oblast] was a shooter in the 208th Regiment of the so-called "people’s militia of the LPR". The Ukrainian troops captured him in the course of a battle for the city of Rubizhne in Luhansk Oblast.

The convict is a Ukrainian citizen, so he is accused of treason.

Thus, he has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The two other occupiers captured by the Ukrainian forces have been sentenced to 10 years of prison.

One of them was a "senior shooter" of the grenade launchers’ platoon of"Luhansk People’s Republic"; he had been captured during the battle of Sievierodonetsk.

The pre-trial investigation found that a former miner had not been working professionally for a long time. Since 2006, he has been prosecuted for drug trafficking three times. Last time he got fired in 2021 and joined the illegal armed formation right away.

Another member of an illegal armed formation is a resident of the village of Zymohiria in Luhansk Oblast. He fought in the so-called 2nd Army Corps of the Russian occupying forces on the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts.

Before the Russian full-scale invasion, in December 2021, he was conscripted; later, he became a shooter on the frontline.

His "combat experience" started with the assault on Ukrainian positions near the town of Kreminna, Luhansk Oblast.

After the Russians occupied the city of Sievierodonetsk, he participated in the "mop-up operations" in the city. Together with his fellow servicemen, he broke into abandoned apartments and robbed them.

In early August, he was captured by Ukrainian forces during close quarter combat, along with six other fighters from the so-called 2 Army Corps, while the rest of the unit were killed.

Both militants were found guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
