Some Russian Sports Federation staff refuse to return to Russia after away match

Several employees of the Russian Sports Federation have refused to return to Russia from Kyrgyzstan after a friendly match in Bishkek.

Details: Five employees from the national team have not returned to Russia because of the partial mobilisation situation. The staff members in question belong to the team’s administrative staff. The Russian Football Union (RFU) declined to comment on this information, and the employees who did not return said that they had gone on holiday.
Background: The Russian national team beat the Kyrgyz squad 2-1 in a friendly match held on 24 September.
Later, Russian media reported that several employees of the RFU had received call-up notices from the military enlistment office.
