Quote: "As of 11:00, 11 important infrastructure facilities in 8 oblasts and the city of Kyiv have been damaged. Now some regions are powered down. You need to be prepared for temporary outages in electricity, water supply, and communications."

Details: Shmyhal added that some of the first Russian targets were a playground, museums and educational institutions. In his opinion, the main goal of these war criminals is to try to sow panic, frighten and leave Ukrainians without electricity and heat.

"All services are working on the ground, we are promptly restoring our infrastructure. We will do everything to restore all facilities as soon as possible. We thank our rescuers and medics, who are currently saving people's lives at the epicentres of attacks. We thank our energy workers, who restore power to cities under attacks. Let's keep going!" concluded the prime minister.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that power facilities from Lviv to Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv Oblast, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Dnipro and Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast, Kirovohrad Oblast, in general, the entire south, were targeted. In Kyiv Oblast, anti-aircraft systems shot down six missiles, but there were hits on the thermal power plant.

Ukrenergo reports that energy workers are promptly using backup power schemes and are working on repairing the damage.

Previously:

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that so far, on 10 October, the Russians had launched 83 missiles on Ukraine within a few hours, 43 of which were shot down by air defence.
