UKRAINSKA PRAVDA – MONDAY, 10 OCTOBER 2022, 20:01
Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said that none of his Western partners have brought up negotiations with Russia during their phone calls following Russia’s missile strikes on Ukraine [on the morning of 10 October].
Source: European Pravda, quoting Dmytro Kuleba during the national 24/7 newscast
Quote from Kuleba: "No one has dared to [mention negotiations with Russia]. Though we are diplomats, lately we just shut people up as soon as they mentioned negotiations. Because there is only one thing to be said after what Russia has done: Russia’s missiles are Russia’s negotiating position. This is what we say loud and clear to those countries that try to tell us [to negotiate with Russia]."
Details: Kuleba explained that Ukrainian government agencies have submitted requests outlining their needs to the Foreign Ministry and the ministry is already working with its partners to provide them with support, "not just military but also [the kind of support] that will help [Ukraine] overcome its energy problems".
Quote from Kuleba: "Putin’s attacks will not change our partners’ [positions] or scare them. They are all expressing condolences but I have told every single person that I respect and am grateful for those, but right now we need air defence systems, missile defence systems and diesel generators."
Previously: Kuleba said that the European Union is already preparing its response to Russia’s latest mass missile strike on Ukrainian cities that it carried out on 10 October.
