The housing stock sustained the heaviest damage, accounting for 39.7% of all losses, or US$50.5 billion. Since the beginning of June, this amount has increased by US$11.2 billion.

According to the latest data, a total of 135,800 private homes and apartment buildings were damaged and destroyed. Compared to June, the number of damaged houses has increased by 15,000. The total area covered by damaged or destroyed structures is 74.1 million square metres, or 7.3% of the country's housing stock.

Infrastructure facilities account for the second largest share of losses, amounting to 27.7%, or US$35.3 billion, of which US$26.6 billion is a result of the direct destruction of roads, and US$4.3 billion are railway losses.

Losses of business assets amount to at least US$9.9 billion and continue to grow. This is the third largest category of infrastructure damage. In terms of sector, metallurgy has suffered the most. In total, at least 412 businesses have been damaged or destroyed since the beginning of the war, of which 64 are large and medium-sized businesses. It is expected that the actual number may be higher, as there is currently no complete information on the state of Ukrainian businesses located in the temporarily occupied territories.

The losses sustained by educational institutions in Ukraine are estimated at US$6.95 billion. This amount has increased both due to the increase in the number of damaged and destroyed facilities and due to the expansion of the list of school buildings; the losses in the latter sector are estimated in the KSE report.

At least 810 educational institutions were destroyed and 1,639 were damaged as a result of hostilities. The greatest number of educational institutions destroyed was recorded in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk and Kyiv oblasts.

From February to September, the Russian occupiers damaged, destroyed or captured at least 616 administrative buildings; 978 medical institutions, including 24 private healthcare facilities; 1,270 schools; 786 kindergartens; 775 cultural institutions; 80 religious buildings; 149 tourist facilities; 153 sports facilities; 2,910 retail outlets; 19 airports and civil airfields; 110 railway stations; 315 bridges and bridge crossings of state, local, or municipal importance; 10 thermal power plants; and 322 boiler houses.
