Ukraine's defence minister says he suggested Fedorov keep working on joint projects
Ukrainian Defence Minister Yevhenii Khmara has said he proposed that a format be found so that former defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov could continue to work on joint projects. However, he did not offer a specific position and has not received a response.

Details: Khmara clarified that he did not offer Fedorov any specific positions during their meeting in July and has received no response from him so far.
At the same time, the new minister said he aims to retain the Defence Ministry team to ensure continuity and keep existing projects going.
Khmara also announced that the defence industrial base and exports portfolio will be strengthened – Hanna Hvozdziar is to become the deputy minister responsible for this area.
Separately, the Defence Ministry also plans to boost digital transformation and the cognitive warfare sector. A candidate with both combat experience and experience of working in the ministry is being considered for the digital sector, while a candidate for the cognitive warfare sector has already been selected.
Background: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently said that during the conflict between Fedorov and then commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Fedorov proposed that both of them be dismissed.
