Russia attacks Ukraine’s energy facility in Kirovohrad, Odesa and Rivne oblasts

Russian forces carried out missile strikes on critical energy infrastructure targets in the Kropyvnytskyi and Holovanivsk districts in Kirovohrad Oblast, as well as energy facilities in Odesa Oblast and in the city of Rivne.

Details: Raikovych appealed to all local businesses and in particular the owners of large retail facilities, chain stores, and restaurants and cafes, to significantly reduce their energy consumption. He added that power supply in Kirovohrad Oblast was disrupted, and that some areas are experiencing power outages.

Marchenko said that two Russian missiles hit an energy infrastructure facility in Odesa Oblast, cutting off power in several towns and villages in the Odesa district. Odesa District Military Administration said that there were three civilian casualties.

Municipal services and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are engaged in repair and clean-up work to deal with the aftermath of the attacks.

A critical infrastructure facility in the city of Rivne has also been hit. Early reports indicate there were no casualties. Emergency aid points have been set up in the city’s hospitals.

All municipal services are on full alert and are undertaking joint repair works with power engineers to restore energy in the city.
