Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near 12 cities and villages – General Staff report

Over the course of the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Novoselivske and Makiivka in Luhansk Oblast and Soledar, Klishchiivka, Maiorsk, Yakovlivka, Andriivka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 11 missile strikes and 22 airstrikes, as well as over 35 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS). More than 30 Ukrainian cities, towns and villages in Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy and Kherson oblasts came under Russian fire.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. The Republic of Belarus is continuing to aid and support Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, including by accommodating Russian forces on its territory and offering Belarusian military training grounds for their training. Belarus and Russia are continuing to form a joint military unit. There is an ongoing threat of Russia deploying combat drones from Belarusian territory and the airspace.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets:

  • On the Sivershchyna front: Russian forces deployed tubed and rocket artillery to fire in the vicinity of Hasychivka (Chernihiv Oblast) and Popivka, Petrushivka, Myropillia, Zapsillia, Nova Huta, Novovasylivka and Starykove (Sumy Oblast);
  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: Russian forces deployed various types of artillery to fire on areas in and around Hryhorivka, Kolodiazne, Strilecha, Vovchansk, Ohirtseve and Ternova;
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Ploshchanka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka, Miasozharivka, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Kyslivka;
  • On the Bakhmut front: the Russians deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Soledar, Ivanhrad, Yakovlivka, Maiorsk, Zelenopillia and New-York;
  • On the Avdiivka front: the Russians deployed tanks, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in the vicinity of Vuhledar, Nevelske, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka and Vesele;
  • On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts: the Russians fired on areas in and around Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Pavlivka, Huliaipilske, Vremivka, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novopil, Mali Shcherbaky and Poltavka using tank guns and all types of artillery at their disposal;
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front: Russian forces deployed tank guns and artillery of various calibres to fire on Pravdyne, Myrne, Ternovi Pody, Sukyi Stavok, Zolota Balka and Marhanets. They continued to deploy UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance in the area, making a total of 15 sorties.
