Ukraine’s Interior Minister on Russia’s missile strike: 1 killed, 6 injured, around 30 buildings damaged

Early reports say that one person was killed and six more sustained injuries as a result of Russia’s largest missile strike to date on 15 November.

Around 30 buildings have been damaged, including private houses and critical infrastructure facilities. Police officers are at work wherever necessary, the sites of the attacks are being inspected, missile fragments are being cleared away."

Details: Monastyrskyi has said that Ukraine’s air defence systems were activated in most of the areas targeted by Russia.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported that fires that broke out in Kyiv as a result of the Russian missile strikes have been extinguished.

The coordinating centre of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received information about three sites in Kyiv struck by Russian missiles around 15:30 on 15 November.

Fire broke out on the second and third storeys of a five-storey apartment block in Kyiv’s Pechersk district; it engulfed a total area of 60 square metres and damaged the building’s facade.

A flat on the 24th floor of a 24-storey apartment block was partially destroyed. There was no fire there.

Fragments of a missile that had been shot down fell near an abandoned building in the Obolon district.

The State Emergency Service has reported that in Kyiv, one person has been killed and one more was injured as a result of the Russian attacks. Additional information about casualties is being ascertained.
