Occupiers keep attacking Kherson and focus on offensive on two fronts – General Staff

The occupiers keep focusing their main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts; they are also continuing to shell the city of Kherson.

Details: The invaders fired from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery on areas in and around 13 settlements on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Sivershchyna front, Russian units conducted demonstrative and provocative actions at the Russian-Ukrainian border in the districts of Bryansk and Kursk oblasts (Russia) that are closer to the border. The occupiers fired from mortars and tubed artillery, hitting the vicinities of Yanzhulivka, Mykolaivka, Halahanivka in Chernihiv Oblast and Vilna Sloboda in Sumy Oblast. 

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, the invaders continued to hold a grouping of its forces in the border regions of Belgorod Oblast (Russia). They used tanks, mortars and tubed artillery to attack Strilecha, Hlyboke, Zelene, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Budarky and Ambarne in Kharkiv Oblast. The Russians involved attack UAVs in strikes on the settlements of Zelene and Budarky.

The invaders lead the defence on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts. They struck the areas in and around Orlianske, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka and Pishchane in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivske, Torske and Ozerne in Donetsk Oblast with tanks and the entire spectrum of artillery. 

The Russian forces used artillery of various types to attack the positions of the Ukrainian defence forces and the settlements of Vuhledar, Neskuchne and Prechystivka on the Novopavlivka front in Donetsk Oblast.

The Russians also conducted defence on the Zaporizhzhia front. They attacked from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery, hitting the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and districts of the following settlements: Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Olhivske, Dorozhnianka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka and Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Veremiivka and Chervone in Kherson Oblast. The invaders used an attack drone near Novopil and Vremivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In addition, the Russians conducted positional defence on the Kryvyi Rih and Kherson fronts. They did not stop shelling the Ukrainian units and vicinities on the right (Western) bank of the Dnipro River, including the city of Kherson.  

The occupiers carried out a missile attack on civilian facilities in Kivsharivka in Kharkiv Oblast over the past 24 hours; they also launched 26 airstrikes and 10 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems on positions of the Ukrainian army. 

It is reported that Ukrainian aircraft carried out nine strikes on clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as on an anti-aircraft missile system position belonging to the occupiers over the current day.
