Ukrainian Defence Forces down 10 Shahed UAVs and repel attacks near 15 settlements

On 30 December, the Defence Forces of Ukraine shot down ten Iranian-made UAVs and repelled Russian attacks near 15 settlements.

Quote: "Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched five missile and 29 air strikes. 26 enemy air strikes hit civilian infrastructure. In particular, the occupiers used 10 Shahed-136 UAVs, but all of them have been shot down. In addition, the enemy launched 80 attacks from a multiple-launch rocket system, targeting peaceful settlements.

In the course of the past 24 hours, Ukrainian army repelled the attacks of the occupiers near the settlements of Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Soledar, Bilohorivka, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, New-York, Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Avdiivka and Marinka in Donetsk Oblast."

Details: On the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, there is no significant change in the situation. There are no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian forces used artillery and mortars to attack the areas of the settlements of Orlykivka, Semenivka, Zaliznyi Mist, Buda-Vorobyivska of Chernihiv Oblast, Khodyne, Atynske, Zapsillia, Velyka Rybytsia, Pokrovka, Riasne, Popivka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Hlyboke, Morokhovets, Zelene, Ternova, Staritsia, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Nesterne, Vilkhuvatka, Chuhunivka and Zarubynka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk front, Russian forces fired near the settlements of Kamianka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Vilshana, Kupiansk, Orlianka, Kurylivka, Kotloarivka and Tabayivka in Kharkiv Oblast, and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman front, Ploschanka, Nevske and Dibrova in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Chervonopivka, Yampolivka and Torske in Donetsk Oblast came under Russian fire. 

On the Bakhmut front, the Russians fired from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Yahidne, Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, Dyliivka, Druzhba, Zalizne, Maiorsk and New-York in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka front, Russian forces attacked the settlements of Vesele, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka.

On the Novopavlivka front, Russians fired on Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the occupiers attacked areas around the settlements of Temyrivka, Poltavka, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamianske and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Nikopol and Prymiske in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

On the Kherson front, Russian forces continue to launch mortar and artillery attacks on populated areas along the right bank of the Dnipro River. In particular, the civilian infrastructure of Kachkarivka, Naddniprianske, Antonivka and Kherson city was damaged.

According to the General Staff, military commissariats in the temporarily occupied territory of the Republic of Crimea have created lists of people subject to conscription for mobilisation in January 2023.

Combat aircraft from Ukraine's Defence Forces hit areas where the Russian occupying forces were concentrated ten times and three times on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems. Moreover, a Russian reconnaissance Orlan-10 UAV was shot down.

Rocket Forces and Artillery units struck a command post, seven clusters of Russian manpower and military equipment, five ammunition storage points and two radar stations.
