Ukraine's Defence Forces repel Russian attacks near 10 settlements – General Staff report

Ukraine's Defence Forces repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of 10 settlements over the course of 25 January.

Quote: "Over the course of the past 24 hours, enemy forces carried out 10 missile strikes and 37 airstrikes, in particular, on the civil infrastructure facilities of the cities of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. They deployed multiple-launch rocket systems [MLRS] to carry out 97 further attacks; residential buildings in Kherson were also hit. According to preliminary information, the enemy used 24 Iranian-made Shakhed-136 attack drones at night. Ukraine’s Defence Forces destroyed all of them.

There is a high threat of Russian air and missile strikes across Ukraine.

Suffering heavy losses, the Russians still do not relent with their offensive operations on the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka fronts. Offensive operations on the Lyman and Avdiivka fronts were unsuccessful. On the Kupiansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts they are defending their positions.

Details: On the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts the situation has not changed significantly. No Russian offensive groups have been reported.

On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces fired on the areas of Leonivka, Yasna Poliana, Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv Oblast, and Budivelne, Volfyne, Tymofiivka in Sumy Oblast.

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, 20 settlements came under Russian fire, including Budarky, Vovchanski Khutory, Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Krasne and Neskuchne in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk front, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka in Kharkiv Oblast, and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast were shelled.

On the Lyman front, Russian forces fired on the positions of our troops in the areas of Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka, Nevske in Luhansk Oblast and Veryhine forestry, Yampolivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front, 22 settlements came under Russian fire, including Ivanivske, Krasnopolivka, Spirne, Bakhmut, Ozarianivka, Niu-York, Klishchiivka and Kurdiumivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka front, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Berdychi, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka came under Russian fire.

On the Novopavlivka front, Russian forces shelled Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Oblast.

Russian artillery and tanks inflicted damage on 25 settlements on the Zaporizhzhia front, including Vremivka, Vilne Pole, Novopil in Donetsk Oblast and Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

On the Kherson front, the occupiers continue to shell peaceful cities and villages. Twenty settlements were affected, in particular, Beryslav, Antonivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Bilozerka, Novokairy, Respublikanets and Kherson. There were casualties among the civilian population.

Ukrainian aircraft conducted 14 airstrikes on areas of concentration of Russian occupation forces and 2 strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian defenders destroyed two Su-25 ground attack jets, a Ka-52 attack helicopter, four Orlan type drones, and a Supercam drone.

Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a command post, 12 clusters of Russian manpower and 4 ammunition storage points.
