Russians strengthen military units on Lyman and Bakhmut fronts – General Staff report

Russian forces have not abandoned their intentions to capture the entire Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, so they are strengthening their military units on the Lyman and Bakhmut fronts.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensives on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts. They are strengthening their military units on the Lyman and Bakhmut fronts. They actively deploy aircraft to strike the positions of our troops."

Details: Over the day, Russian forces have carried out 7 missile and 23 air strikes. They also fired 15 missiles using multiple-launch rocket systems

A threat of further Russian air and missile attacks on civil facilities all over Ukraine is still high. 

There are no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts. No signs of the Russians forming offensive groups have been detected. Russian forces continue to deploy their units in the areas bordering Ukraine, combat training is ongoing. They do not stop artillery shelling of Ukrainian troops’ positions, as well as settlements near the contact line.

Over 20 settlements were shelled during the day, including Senkivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Novovasylivka, Porokhon, Studenok, Starykove, Volfyne in Sumy Oblast and Vovchansk, Fyholivka, Dvorichna in Kharkiv Oblast. The occupiers also conducted airstrikes near Vovchansk.

Over 15 settlements on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts came under fire from mortars and artillery, in particular, Vilshana, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Pishchane in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivske, Makiivka, Nevske, Kreminna, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front, the Russians deployed tanks, mortars and artillery to attack the areas in and around Spirne, Berestove, Vasiukivka, Paraskoviivka, Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Predtechyne, Bila Hora and Zalizne in Donetsk Oblast. Over 20 settlements in total.

Seventeen settlements on the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts were attacked with tanks, mortars and artillery, in particular, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar. Russian airstrikes were recorded in the vicinity of Vesele, Nevelske and Marinka.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the areas in and around the settlements of Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk Oblast and Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Stepove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast came under Russian fire. Russian forces also conducted airstrikes in the area of Mala Tokmachka.

On the Kherson front, Russians fired from artillery on the suburbs around Kherson and the city itself, as well as the areas of more than 20 settlements, including Zolota Balka, Mylove, Zmiivka, Vesele, Mykolaivka, Tiahynka, Tokarivka, Mykilske, Antonivka and Dniprovske in Kherson Oblast.

During the day, the Ukrainian Air Force made 16 strikes on clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment and 2 strikes on the positions of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukrainian defenders also shot down a Su-25 aircraft and a drone of Orlan type.

Units of Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery struck four clusters of military personnel.
