Russia will change targets for attacks, focusing on logistics and military facilities

Russia is planning to attack Ukrainian logistics and facilities that are essential for the successful combat operations of the Defence Forces more often.

Source: Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of the Defence Intelligence, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine

Quote: "Let's take the latest strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles on the nights of 17-18 March and 21-22 March. They hit the fuel and lubricant depots in Novomoskovsk, Zhytomyr and there were also hits in the Yavoriv district [Lviv Oblast - ed.]. What were the main targets? The logistics system of our troops and the cluster of our equipment at the deployment points."

Details: According to Skibitskyi, the Kremlin failed to destroy the Ukrainian [energy] system during the winter. Therefore, in his opinion, the occupiers are planning to reorient the areas of strikes: "It can be military facilities, clusters of troops and the logistics system of our groupings".

According to the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, attacks on oil depots show that the occupiers will try to destroy the critical infrastructure elements that Ukraine needs for successful combat operations. Energy system will also remain one of the Russians’ targets.

Quote: "Critical infrastructure facilities will also remain [the targets - ed.], primarily economic ones that affect the development of our country. These are oil refineries, defence industry enterprises, etc."

More details: Skibitskyi stressed that the Defence Intelligence analyses which facilities the Russian Federation tries to detect. These include, in particular, hydraulic structures, bridges across the Dnipro River, airfields and airports, and supply routes for weapons and military equipment coming from the West: "Russia is constantly conducting reconnaissance of these facilities, including space reconnaissance".
