Emergency workers complete searching for people under rubble in Zaporizhzhia
The search and rescue operation in the high-rise buildings in Zaporizhzhia, which were hit by a Russian missile on 22 March, has ended with one person killed and six rescued. A total of 34 people have been injured.

Quote: "Zaporizhzhia: the search and rescue operation is over. Workers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine had pulled six people out from under the rubble and extinguished a fire in two high-rise buildings.
34 people have been injured. 29 people were taken to the hospital, including three children. Unfortunately, one person died in the hospital."
Details: As the minister stated, emergency workers and employees of municipal services were clearing the rubble from the apartments of dilapidated buildings. They were assisted by many volunteers.
Police on the spot recorded evidence of another Russian war crime against civilians.
Background:
- On 22 March, at about 12:00, the Russian forces launched six missiles on the city of Zaporizhzhia. One of them struck two apartment blocks standing next to each other.
- The Air Force of Ukraine reported that the Russian occupiers deployed a multiple-launch rocket system, probably a Tornado-S.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy released a video of the missile hitting the building.
