Ukraine's Foreign Ministry calls on UN not to give unbalanced assessments in regards to Ukrainian Orthodox Church situation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has described the assumption of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights about the "discriminatory nature" of the searches in the buildings of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate [UOC MP – ed.] as unbalanced.

Quote: "In a recent report on human rights in Ukraine, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights [OHCHR – ed.] noted that searches in the buildings of the UOC MP could be of a ‘discriminatory nature.’

We call on OHCHR to refrain from unbalanced political assessments and base its reports on facts."

Earlier: The day before, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights suggested that searches by Ukrainian security forces in the buildings of the UOC MP may be of a "discriminatory nature."
