Izumi Nakamitsu, Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, represented the UN Secretariat.

Russia has invited some experts, whom Serhii Kyslytsia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine and Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, called on Twitter the "sneakiest defenders of the invasion of Ukraine & of dictatorships in general", including Max Blumental, an American journalist accused of receiving money from Russia.

Izumi Nakamitsu has once again reminded Moscow that it also received weapons from abroad.

Nakamitsu also pointed out that since the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has recorded 24,862 civilian casualties in Ukraine: 9,083 killed and 15,779 injured. She added that the actual number of casualties is much higher.
