Russians concentrate on five fronts, Ukrainian forces continue offensive in the south – General Staff report

There have been 29 combat encounters between the Russian army and the Defence Forces of Ukraine on five fronts during the day.

Quote: "The Russians are concentrating their main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka fronts, heavy fighting is ongoing; 29 combat clashes have occurred during the day."

Details: Reportedly, the Ukrainian forces are holding the defence on the Kupiansk front, and on the Lyman front the Russians have been conducting "offensive actions to the west of the settlement of Dibrova in Luhansk Oblast" during the day.

On the Bakhmut front, the Defence Forces have successfully repelled attacks by the Russians near the settlements of Bohdanivka and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast. On the Marinka front, the Defence Forces continue to hold back the offensive of the Russian troops near the town of Marinka and the settlement of Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson front, the Russians are holding the defence. "The Russians are concentrating their main efforts on preventing  the Ukrainian troops from advancing further. They have launched an airstrike near the settlement of Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia Oblast," it is stated in the report. 

The Ukrainian Defence Forces "continue to conduct the offensive operation on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts, gain foothold on achieved positions, launch artillery attacks on detected targets of the Russians, conduct counterbattery measures".
