Attacks on Sumy Oblast: over 100 strikes in a day

Russian occupation forces fired 24 times at the border areas of Sumy Oblast on 24 July. There were 101 explosions, and 17 settlements came under Russian fire.

Details: Khotin hromada came under mortar fire, with four explosions [a hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.].

Attacks from mortars (nine explosions), grenade launchers (three explosions), self-propelled artillery systems (three explosions) and artillery (three explosions) were recorded in Velyka Pysarivka hromada.

The Russians used mortars to fire at Nova Sloboda hromada (26 explosions). As per the information available at the moment, a residential building and a power transmission line were damaged.

In Krasnopillia hromada, attacks from self-propelled artillery systems (six explosions), tubed artillery (three explosions), mortars (13 explosions) and artillery (nine explosions) were recorded. Two private residential buildings and a power transmission line were damaged.

Seredyna-Buda hromada was struck by tubed artillery (six explosions), and there was also artillery shelling (two explosions). Two private residential buildings were damaged.

Bilopillia hromada was hit by tubed artillery (three explosions). There were also attacks from mortars (two explosions) and artillery (four explosions). An apartment building, two private houses and an outbuilding were damaged.

In Yunakivka hromada, an attack from tubed artillery was recorded (three explosions).
