Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders killed another 620 Russians, and destroyed 4 tanks and 32 Russian artillery systems.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February and 5 August 2023 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:
- approximately 249,110 (+620) military personnel;
- 4,232 (+4) tanks;
- 8,251 (+2) armoured combat vehicles;
- 4,943 (+32) artillery systems;
- 704 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
- 466 (+0) air defence systems;
- 315 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
- 311 (+0) helicopters;
- 4,116 (+12) operational-tactical UAVs;
- 1,347 (+0) cruise missiles;
- 18 (+0) ships and boats;
- 7,422 (+30) vehicles and tankers;
- 730 (+6) special vehicles and other equipment.
