The Ministry explained why the Russian drone could not be detected in time.

"The main reason is the low flight path of the target, its small radar cross-section, and its distance from the radar unit [closest to it], something which isn’t helped by the curvature of the terrain," the Defenсe Ministry noted.

  • The downed drone was discovered near Etulia, Vulcǎneşti district, near the Ukrainian towns of Bolhrad and Reni; the discovery was reported on the afternoon of 11 February.
  • The warhead of the drone contained about 50 kg of explosives and was detonated in a controlled manner.
