Bodies of 909 fallen defenders brought back to Ukraine – Coordination Headquarters

During another repatriation, Ukraine brought back the bodies of 909 of its defenders killed in action from the Bakhmut, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk and other fronts, as well as from Russian morgues.

Details: The Coordination Centre reported that the fallen defenders were brought back from Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kharkiv fronts, as well as from morgues in the Russian Federation.
The headquarters reported that the International Committee of the Red Cross helped to bring back the bodies of the deceased.
The Coordination Headquarters also reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine ensured the transport of the bodies of repatriated defenders to specialised state institutions.
There, the deceased will be handed over to law enforcement and forensic experts. Investigators are working to identify the soldiers together with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
