Zelenskyy: Russia preparing provocations with POWs in Belarus

Ukrainian intelligence has reported that Russia has a plan to bring some POWs to Belarus and force them to record video messages to their parents, claiming that the Ukrainian authorities do not want to take them back.

Quote: "From the data of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, it is clear to us what the Russians intend to do. They want to fill the lists of Ukrainians solely from their side, regardless of our requests. And we know that they plan to bring some prisoners to Belarus, forcing them to record video messages to their parents as if the Ukrainian authorities are not taking them: 'Take us, here we are in Belarus, take us.' Such Russian provocations are being prepared. It is simply an attempt to put pressure on us."

Details: Zelenskyy emphasised that Ukraine is doing everything possible to implement all previous agreements on prisoner exchanges and is working to bring all its people home.
