Russia attacks Odesa Oblast again, damaging port and State Emergency Service vehicle – photos

The Russian army has struck Odesa Oblast again, causing damage to port infrastructure and hitting equipment belonging to the emergency services.

Updated: Kiper reported that in the evening, Russia once again attacked Odesa Oblast. Despite active air defence operations, a port infrastructure facility was damaged, resulting in a fire.

Firefighters promptly extinguished the fire.

No information about fatalities or injuries has been reported.

Background:

    • On 12 December, Russian forces struck Odesa and the oblast with ballistic missiles and drones. As a result of the attack, a civilian vessel was damaged in the port of Chornomorsk and one person was injured.
    • Türkiye's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern after a vessel belonging to a Turkish company was damaged in the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk.
