Talks in US: envoy Witkoff calls meetings with Ukrainian and Russian delegations constructive
US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff has summed up talks on a potential peace agreement held with the Ukrainian and Russian sides and European partners.

Details: Commenting on the meeting with the Ukrainian delegation, Witkoff said that "a separate constructive meeting was also held in a US-Ukraine format, during which four key documents were focused on: further development of a 20-point plan, aligning positions on a Multilateral security guarantee framework, aligning positions on a US Security guarantee framework for Ukraine, and further development on an economic & prosperity plan".

Ukraine remains fully committed to achieving a just and sustainable peace.
Our shared priority is to stop the killing, ensure guaranteed security, and create conditions for Ukraine's recovery, stability, and long-term prosperity.

Details: Witkoff said in another post that Kirill Dmitriev, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin's Special Envoy, had held "productive and constructive meetings with the American delegation to advance President Trump's peace plan on Ukraine".

Background:
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was expecting a report from Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine and head of the Ukrainian delegation in the US, on negotiations with the American side.
- At the beginning of the Russian-US talks, Dmitriev stated that discussions were "constructive".
- The Kremlin said it awaits the proposals developed by representatives of Ukraine, European countries and the US as part of talks on ending the war, but believes that most of them will be categorically unacceptable for Russia.
- Umierov said that Ukrainian representatives had held several productive and constructive meetings with US and European partners over three days in Florida, during which the four key documents were discussed.
