Russia attacks Kyiv Oblast, killing one man and leaving city of Slavutych without power

A man has been killed as a result of a Russian attack on the Fastiv district of Kyiv Oblast. The city of Slavutych was left without power due to the attack, with extensive damage reported.

Quote from Kalashnyk: "A civilian resident – a man aged about 75 – has been killed in the Fastiv district as a result of an enemy attack. His body was discovered in his own home while a fire was being extinguished. Sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased."

Details: Kalashnyk also reported that in the Fastiv district, seven houses and one multi-storey residential building had been damaged, as well as garages, two cars and production and warehouse facilities.

In addition, Kalashnyk noted that as a result of the Russian attack, Slavutych had been left without power.

Quote from Kalashnyk: "All critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power. The city has heating and water."

Updated: In the morning, Kyiv Oblast police confirmed that in the Fastiv district, a house and a vehicle had been destroyed, and 12 houses, six garages and three cars had been damaged.

In the Vyshhorod district, a five-storey residential building was damaged. Residents were evacuated.

In the Obukhiv district, a house was damaged.
