Spanish PM: If Trump invades Greenland, it would be Putin's greatest happiness

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has warned that the implementation of US President Donald Trump's claims on Greenland would make Russian leader Vladimir Putin "the happiest man in the world", delivering him two victories at once.

Details: Sánchez said that a potential forceful seizure of Greenland by the United States would be a scenario allowing Russia to secure two major victories at the same time.

Quote: "Invasion by the United States of this territory would make Vladimir Putin the happiest person in the world. Why? Because it would legitimise his invasion of Ukraine. If the United States were to use force in Greenland, it would be a fatal blow to NATO. Putin would have double reason to rejoice."

Details: Sánchez also said that Spain has not yet decided whether it will send its troops to Greenland to take part in exercises organised by Denmark.
