Ukrainian air defence downs 157 out of 171 Russian drones

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 171 drones of various types since the evening of 1 February. Ukrainian air defences have managed to down 157 drones, though eight locations have been hit. The attack is ongoing.

Quote: "As of 09:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 157 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones. Hits by 1 ballistic missile and 12 UAVs had been recorded at 8 locations."
Details: The missile was launched from temporarily occupied Crimea, while the drones approached from the Russian cities of Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Millerovo as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 100 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
As of 09:00, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
