Israel highly praises Ukraine's decision to call Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps terrorist organisation

Israel has said it highly appreciates Ukraine's decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organisation.

Details: Brodsky noted that it was Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha who informed Sa'ar about Ukraine's decision to recognise the IRGC as a terrorist organisation.

Previously: Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organisation.

For reference: The IRGC is a branch of Iran's executive military establishment with broad influence and powers, operating in parallel with the regular army.

Background:

On 29 January, the European Union designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organisation.
On Thursday, the EU also approved additional restrictive measures against Iran over the suppression of protests and its continued military support for Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced that a large American naval flotilla was approaching Iran's shores and urged Tehran to immediately sit down for talks to reach an agreement on Iran's nuclear programme.
