More than 90,000 Ukrainians have been granted the status of persons missing under special circumstances.

Details: There are currently more than 90,000 entries in the register of persons missing under special circumstances. It comprises both military personnel and civilians, including children.

Most of them are service members of Ukraine's defence forces, said Artur Dobroserdov, Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, in response to a request from Ukrainska Pravda.

Background: Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that approximately 7,000 Ukrainian service members are being held in Russian captivity.
