Ukrainian strike damages Russian vessels and oil facilities in Novorossiysk

Ukraine's Security Service and the Armed Forces carried out a successful attack on the seaport in Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, damaging several Russian naval vessels, on the night of 1-2 March.

Details: Ukrainian defence forces struck the trawler Valentin Pikul. The anti-submarine ships Yeysk and Kasimov also sustained serious damage.
Russian forces also suffered personnel losses: three Russian sailors were killed and 14 were injured.
It was previously reported that the attack had also hit the 30N6E2 guidance radar from an S-300PMU-2 Favorit air defence system, a Pantsir-S2 air defence system and six of the seven oil loading arms at the Sheskharis oil terminal. The fire in the port burned throughout the night.
Background: On the night of 1-2 March, drones operated by the Special Operations Centre Alpha of the Security Service of Ukraine together with other components of Ukraine's defence forces – the State Border Guard Service, Defence Intelligence, Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces – carried out a large-scale strike on military and oil facilities at the Novorossiysk port used in Russia's war against Ukraine.
