Details: Hegseth said the next phase of military operations is aimed at ensuring that US and Israeli air forces take "complete control of Iranian skies", which is expected to be achieved "under a week".

The secretary added that the air forces will be "finding, fixing and finishing the missiles and defence industrial base of the Iranian military", as well as Iranian military leaders.

Quote: "This was never meant to be a fair fight, and it is not a fair fight. We are punching them while they're down, which is exactly how it should be."
