Details: The German embassy's military attaché handed over five MEDIGUARD armoured medical vehicles to the National Guard as part of a new large-scale contract funded by Germany.
The embassy said that the vehicles save lives and that one of the previously delivered vehicles had withstood strikes from three drones at the front, with the crew avoiding serious injuries.

Photos show that the vehicles are equipped with the necessary medical equipment to provide full care during this stage of evacuation. Externally, the vehicles are additionally protected by a frame with a mesh covering, designed to defend against small drones.
Background:
- In late March, Finnish volunteers sent 12 ambulances to Ukraine for use in frontline areas.
- In Italy, the Senate is considering incentives for fishing companies to donate decommissioned nets to help protect frontline populated areas and roads in Ukraine from Russian drones.
