Ukraine's foreign minister briefs Moldovan president on situation on battlefield in Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Antalya, Türkiye.

Details: Sybiha said he had briefed Sandu on the situation on the battlefield, stressing that Ukraine continues to hold its positions.
He also outlined the impact of recent Russian missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities and thanked the Moldovan president for her "strong words of support and solidarity with Ukraine".
Quote: "We discussed preparations for the upcoming Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe meeting in Chișinău on 14-15 May, where further steps are expected towards establishing the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. We also covered a broad range of important bilateral issues on our agenda."
Background:
- Sybiha also said on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye that Hungary's parliamentary elections could open the way for unblocking key EU decisions for Ukraine.
- He also stated that Kyiv is willing to agree to a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, with the participation of leaders from Türkiye and the US.
