Ukrainian foreign minister asks why Putin is hiding as Kremlin-aligned press swarm him with questions – video

Journalists from Kremlin-aligned Russian media outlets have swarmed Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha with questions on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, an annual international diplomacy conference.

Background:

• Sybiha said earlier that Ukraine is willing to agree to a meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin in Türkiye with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Donald Trump also attending.
• Putin has repeatedly proposed meeting with Zelenskyy in Moscow. The latest such invitation was issued by the Kremlin in February.
• Sybiha called the proposal "unacceptable", while Zelenskyy said Putin's invitation was an attempt to put off meeting him. "Our American partners have informed us that Putin has invited me to Moscow. I believe that if you want to prevent the meeting from taking place, you should invite me to Moscow," he said.
