Russia attack Ukraine with 236 drones: 203 downed, hits recorded at 18 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 236 loitering munitions on the night of 18-19 April, using Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and drones of other types. About 150 of them were Shahed UAVs.

Details: Early reports indicate that as of 08:00, air defence had shot down and jammed 203 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions as well as drones of other types over the north, south and east of the country.

Hits by 32 attack UAVs were recorded at 18 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at eight locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian UAVs are still in Ukrainian airspace.
