Air defence responds in Russian-occupied Sevastopol

Russian-installed authorities in temporarily occupied Sevastopol reported on the night of 21-22 April that air defence systems had been active and claimed that several aerial assets had been downed.

Details: Razvozhayev claimed that "[Russian] military forces in Sevastopol are repelling an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with air defence systems and mobile fire groups engaged."

He added that, according to early reports, three aerial assets had been downed in the Severnaya Storona. [Pivnichna (Ukrainian) or Severnaya (Russian) Storona is a historic area of Sevastopol on the northern shore of Sevastopol Bay – ed.]

Razvozhayev claimed earlier on the evening of 21 April that two aerial assets had been downed near General Ostryakov Avenue and Andriivka.
