Details: The General Staff said that Russian strikes on crossings over the Oskil River had significantly complicated logistics near the city of Kupiansk. Supply routes in this sector are currently maintained using boats and heavy drones.

"In these difficult conditions, particular attention is being paid to supplying our servicemen carrying out tasks on the line of contact," the statement said.

Meanwhile, the General Staff noted that the previous command of the 14th brigade had concealed the true state of affairs, lost several positions and made "a series of miscalculations regarding the provision of supplies to personnel", including failures in food deliveries to one of the brigade's positions.

"A number of personnel decisions have been taken to rectify the situation. In particular, the commander of the 14th Mechanised Brigade has been removed from his post, while the commander of the 10th Army Corps has been relieved of his duties and demoted. Colonel Taras Maksimov has been appointed commander of the 14th Mechanised Brigade and Brigadier General Artem Bohomolov will lead the 10th Army Corps," the statement said.

The General Staff added that a special commission from the Ground Forces is conducting an investigation into the violations identified.

"At present, an internal investigation into officers of the 14th Mechanised Brigade is nearing completion. Based on its findings, appropriate management decisions will be taken and the materials will be forwarded to law enforcement authorities for legal assessment," it said.

The military also stressed that the new leadership of the brigade and corps is "taking all possible measures to stabilise the situation and ensure the proper provision of supplies for personnel at combat positions".

In addition, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has instructed Mykhailo Drapatyi, Commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine, to carry out inspections of supply arrangements for troops on the line of contact under his command.

"It should be noted that new food supplies have recently been delivered to the positions of the 14th Mechanised Brigade. Should conditions permit, our servicemen will be evacuated immediately," the General Staff said.

Background: This issue gained widespread attention after reports circulated online about soldiers from the 2nd Mechanised Battalion of the 14th Mechanised Brigade serving on the Kharkiv front. According to their relatives, the troops have been in extremely difficult conditions for around eight months, with regular shortages of food and drinking water at their positions.
