Ukrainian intelligence identifies four perpetrators who raped woman in occupied Luhansk Oblast in 2014

Ukraine's law enforcement officers have identified and served notices of suspicion on four perpetrators from the Russian occupying forces who in 2014 abducted and brutally abused a woman volunteer in the temporarily occupied city of Antratsyt in Luhansk Oblast.

Details: The woman and three other individuals who were helping to evacuate women and children from the combat zone and supporting Ukrainian service members in the east of Ukraine were illegally deprived of their liberty by the Russians from June until the end of September 2014.

In captivity, she was tortured, sustained bodily injuries, was repeatedly raped and was threatened with murder.

More details: The main suspect is Petrykin Oleksandr Mykolaiovych, 54, who held the position of "commandant" of the so-called "military commandant's office in the city of Antratsyt" at the time. He is known by the alias Chornyi Sasha (Black Sasha). In addition to ordering the abduction and acts of violence against the woman, he also illegally seized her Fiat Doblo vehicle.

The three other suspects are as follows.

• Uhriumov Andrii Oleksandrovych, 37, a resident of the town of Kamiane in the Antratsyt district. Registered address: Luhansk Oblast, the Antratsyt district, town of Kamiane, Horkyi Street, 11. • Khudoliei Yehor Volodymyrovych, 37, a resident of the town of Shchotove in the Antratsyt district. Registered address: Luhansk Oblast, the Antratsyt district, town of Shchotove, Ostrovskyi Street, 15. Tax identification number: 3234903354; Russian tax ID: 345971021997; pension insurance number: 22072365429.
• Karaban Denis Aleksandrovich, 37, likely a serving member of the Russian Armed Forces. Russian Federation ID: series 2209, No. 503903, issued on 19 February 2010 by the Federal Migration Service of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, the Bogorodsk district. Tax ID: 524502938108; pension insurance number: 154-247-057 53. Registered address: Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, city of Bogorodsk, microdistrict (residential district) 2, building 46, flat 52.

The torturers have been served with notices of suspicion for cruel treatment of the civilian population, torture, sexual violence and other violations of the laws and customs of war, committed by a group of persons with prior conspiracy (Articles 28.2 and 438.1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

One of them has additionally been charged with the unlawful misappropriation of a civilian's property (Article 438.1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
