The EU Satellite Centre could monitor a ceasefire as part of the European Union's security guarantees for Ukraine after a truce is reached in Russia's war against Ukraine.

The EU has proposed using satellite monitoring to oversee any ceasefire as part of its security guarantees for Ukraine following a peace agreement with Russia.

More details: Kallas added that European satellites could also track Russia's shadow fleet and counter sanctions circumvention.

She reported that ministers also discussed the modernisation of two training centres for Ukrainian soldiers and thanked the member states that have provided funding for it.
