Russia attacks Ukraine with 139 drones, 111 downed, attack rages on

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 139 drones of various types since the evening of 12 May. Ukrainian air defences have downed 111 of them, but hits by 20 UAVs have been recorded.

Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 111 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones in the country's north, south and east. Hits by 20 UAVs had been recorded at 13 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at four locations."
Details: The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
As of 08:30, the attack is ongoing, as dozens of Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
