Russian UAVs strike two vessels en route to Greater Odesa ports

On 18 May, while travelling through the Ukrainian maritime corridor towards the ports of Greater Odesa, two civilian vessels flying the flags of Guinea-Bissau and the Marshall Islands were hit by UAVs. Details: According to the authority, both vessels sustained minor fires, which the crews extinguished independently.

Background:
- The Ukrainian Navy reported that Russia struck a Chinese merchant vessel in the Black Sea on the night of 17-18 May using a Shahed drone.
