Russian drones kill two people in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts

The Russians have attacked Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts with drones. A 38-year-old man was killed in the Sumy district and a 51-year-old woman died in a strike on a house in Kharkiv Oblast.

Details: Hryhorov said the man's body was found on 19 May.

The man was killed in a targeted Russian drone strike on a road between the Khotin and Sumy hromadas. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Quote from Hryhorov: "He was a resident of the Khotin hromada. Because of the constant enemy attacks, he and his family had evacuated to the city of Sumy."

More details: Law enforcement officers and relevant services are currently establishing all the circumstances of the tragedy.

Hryhorov emphasised that Russian forces continue to deliberately attack civilians and make it impossible to travel safely in border areas.

Update: The Russians also struck a house in the settlement of Shevchenkove in Kharkiv Oblast with a UAV.

A 51-year-old woman died under the rubble as a result of the attack. Three other women were treated for shock.

Background: On the morning of 19 May, two people were killed and four others injured in a Russian strike on the Hlukhiv hromada.
