Ukraine intercepts 198 out of 216 drones launched by Russia in overnight attack
Russia has attacked Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 216 drones of various types since the evening of 4 June. Ukrainian air defences have managed to down 198 UAVs. The attack is still ongoing.

Quote: "As of 07:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 198 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east. Hits by 16 UAVs have been recorded at 13 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 12 locations. The guided air-launched missiles did not reach their targets"
Details: The missiles were launched from temporarily occupied territory in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, while the drones came from the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
